Triga, red wine aged for 20 months in French oak barrels, produced by Bodegas Back under the tutelage of Rafael Cañizares with D.O.Alicante.
Triga is made with grapes from 5 vineyards planted in a glass, four vineyards of monastrell located in the Sierra de Salinas, Umbria and La Sima and a vineyard of Cabernet Sauvignon located in the Sierra de Salinas. Altitude of 600-750 meters above sea level and fossilized limestone soils and with the upper layer full of limestones.
In the elaboration of Triga each plot is harvested, elaborated and aged separately. The best bunches are selected in the vineyard and later in the cellar in the selection table.
Triga has opaque purple color. It is an explosion of aromas of black and blue fruits that are transformed into licorice notes, Indian spices and floral oils. Rich and long wine, it has a good acidity that gives it elegance. On the palate, sweet blueberries and currants tinge the palate with persistence in a spicy and concentrated finish.
