In 1974, Marqués de Riscal pioneered the introduction of the French variety Sauvignon Blanc in Rueda.

As of the 2018 harvest, all the farms owned by the winery have achieved organic certification.

Marqués de Riscal is committed to making a wine with the minimum possible intervention and the idea of highlighting the varietal purity, marking the character of the terroir of this area of the Duero.
