Banzao, author's red wine from Valle del Ancares, made with Mencía de San Pedro de Olleros by Silvia Marrao Barreiro
Banzao is a natural wine with a production limited to 1,500 bottles in which the personality of its maker and the typicality of Mencía and Berciano's land are undoubtedly perceived.
A wine with a cherry red color, very bright, the aromas of red fruit predominate on the nose, of very good intensity, floral touches and a clear minerality. What is true is that the aromas are somewhat different from those in other areas of the Bierzo region, which gives it a differentiating point. Aromatic set very well balanced. This Banzao in the mouth is very fresh, pure fruit, great acidity, very present minerality of the terroir.
